OPEN WATER SCUBA COURSE & CERTIFICATION

OVERVIEW

This program is designed for beginners who want to obtain an international scuba diving certification and experience diving directly in the ocean in a safe, fun, and professional way. After certification, you will be able to dive to a depth of up to 18 meters with a buddy.

Throughout the course, you will be guided by certified instructors, learn essential diving skills and safety procedures, and gain confidence through hands-on training in both confined water and open water environments, ensuring you are fully prepared to dive responsibly and enjoy the underwater world.

In addition to skill development, this course offers an unforgettable experience exploring vibrant coral reefs and marine life, making it not only a certification program but also a meaningful ocean adventure for anyone ready to begin their scuba diving journey.

ITINERARY

Day 1:

  • Equipment fitting, Basic scuba diving theory: Diving equipment, Breathing techniques, Safety & hand signals
  • Dive 1: Confined water session (pool / shallow water)
  • Adapting to the open water environment, Practice basic diving skills

Day 2:

  • Briefing & dive preparation
  • Dive 2 – Kecinan Bay
  • Practice basic diving skills, Skill practice at depth, Buoyancy control
  • Surface interval & lunch
  • Dive 3 – Kecinan Bay
  • Exploring dive sites, Introduction to marine life, Debriefing & dive log update

Day 3:

  • Preparation to boat
  • Dive 4 – Gili Island Water
  • Final skill assessment
  • Dive 5 – Gili Island Water
  • Fun dive & underwater exploration
  • Closing ceremony

Kecinan Beach, North Lombok is an ideal location for the scuba diving certification program with Dive Indo ID. Located along the coast of Lombok and directly facing the Gili Islands, this beach offers a calm and natural atmosphere, with relatively gentle waters, good visibility, and safe, comfortable training spots for beginners.

Supported by beachfront accommodation, participants can enjoy easy access directly from their rooms to the briefing area and dive sites. In addition, Kecinan Beach is well known for its beautiful sunrise and sunset views, allowing participants to enjoy both stunning morning and evening scenery, making the diving experience even more complete, relaxed, and memorable.

DIVE SPOT: KECINAN BAY

Kecinan Bay is an ideal confined water dive site for training and certification, especially for beginner divers. The bay features calm and shallow waters, making it a safe and comfortable environment to practice essential diving skills. The seabed is a diverse combination of seagrass (lamun), sandy bottom, and coral formations, providing both excellent conditions for training and an enjoyable underwater landscape.

Marine life commonly found in Kecinan Bay includes sea turtles, seahorses, and various reef fish, allowing participants to experience real underwater encounters even during confined water sessions. The area is also home to an active coral restoration site, offering divers a unique opportunity to learn about marine conservation while training.

With its gentle conditions, rich marine ecosystem, and conservation efforts, Kecinan Bay is not only a practical confined water dive spot but also an inspiring introduction to the underwater world of Lombok.
